About the Author
Deborah Gray White (Ph.D., University of Illinois at Chicago) is Board of Governors Professor of History at Rutgers University. She is the author of many works including Too Heavy a Load: Black Women in Defense of Themselves, 1894-1994; Ar'n't I�a Woman? Female Slaves in the Plantation South; and the edited volume Telling Histories: Black Women Historians in the Ivory Tower. She is a recipient of the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship and the Woodrow Wilson International Center Fellowship. Her current project uses the mass marches and demonstrations of the 1990s to explore the history of the decade.�Mia Bay (Ph.D., Yale University) is Professor of History at Rutgers University and the Director of the Rutgers Center for Race and Ethnicity. Her publications include To Tell the Truth Freely: The Life of Ida B. Wells and The White Image in the Black Mind: African-American Ideas about White People, 1830-1925. She is a recipient of the Alphonse Fletcher Sr. Fellowship and the National Humanities Center Fellowship. Currently, she is at work on a book examining the social history of segregated transportation and a study of African American views on Thomas Jefferson.�Waldo E. Martin Jr. (Ph.D., University of California, Berkeley) is Professor of History at the University of California, Berkeley. About the Author
After attending Harvard University and serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, Dr. Pecci earned a degree of Medical Doctor, with distinction, from Tufts University School of Medicine. He had his residency in Psychiatry at the Langley-Porter Neuropsychiatric Institute in San Francisco and a residency in Child Psychiatry at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco. He has been a practicing psychiatrist for over 40 years. He was the founder and President of Rosebridge Graduate School of Integrative Psychology, a fellow in Community Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine and a lecturer at John F. Kennedy University. As a popular speaker during the 70 s and 80 s at scientific and metaphysical conferences he made many acquaintances with prominent people in diverse fields of study such as Dr. William Tiller, then chairman of the Department of Material Sciences at Stanford University, holistic medical author, Dr. Norman Shealy, and Hugh Lynn Cayce, son of Edgar Cayce. During his professional career he served as medical director of the George Miller Jr. Centers for Multi-handicapped Children and Adults in Contra Costa County, California. He also served as chief psychiatrist at the California Youth Authority in northern California. He is the founder of the PSI (Psycho-Spiritual Integration) Process and the author of numerous books, including, Guidance from Within and Rise Above It. Dr. Pecci s book, Chess: A Psychiatrist Matches Wits with Fritz with a foreword by Garry Kasparov, changed the strategy and tactics of chess in a previously unseen way, having a significant influence in the way chess computer programs are now written. He collaborated with Stanford professor Dr. William Tiller and wrote a foreword for his book, Science and Human Transformation, in which he describes how his interest in sacred geometry coincided with the idea of subliminal energies from other dimensionalities interwoven into a flowing pattern. Dr. Pecci became interested in and began his own research on the Great Pyramid in the early 1990 s. This research has been a continuing passion for him for the past twenty years, and during this period he has made numerous original observations and correlations that are being presented here, in this book, for the first time..

A monumental work, well written, with well reasoned arguments leading up to the necessary conclusion. The Great Pyramid's geometry is well explained, so even if one is not familiar with geometry, he'll learn from reading. The new interpretation of Hermes Trismegistus' allusive statements become the sensible conclusion after the explanations of the Great Pyramid's geometry; all life and matter bearing the geometric inner relations of the Pyramid provide the reason for the Great Pyramid's existence. A smooth read but not for the faint of heart.

The second book of "The Heretic's Quest" follows Alexi Kiernan's journey in search of the Warlock he holds responsible for the destruction of his former life. At the same time another faction rises in secret to oppose the religious establishment attempting to turn the Emperor of Sarvek into little more than a figurehead.

This second part is even darker in tone than the first, and yet as decisions are made and sides are taken, hope glimmers throughout it. Some very unpleasant things happen but real life is not all honey, wine and roses, either. I would say more but that means spoilers. Suffice it to say the pacing is much better than in the first book, and the writing is consistently good.

This is a book that warrants a second reading to drink in all the little details.

Shannon Thomas returns in glorious fashion with the second installment of the Heretic's Quest series.
Heretic takes a darker turn in Alexi's journey of discovery, survival, and retribution. It answers some questions left by Warlock's Wake, while keeping other agendas shrouded in mystery. New characters are introduced and lend their own complexity to this tale. You, again, won't want to put this book down until the last page, the last word, is consumed.

Great characters!

This type of tale is well off my beaten path and wouldn't think it would be for everyone. However, I'll readily admit that the story itself is entertaining and very well written. The characters are well developed and interesting. It didn't take two pages for me to be right where we left off in the first book. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

From 'Old School' to Tech Savvy

I read Transpharmation is a way to look into how a very 'old school' industry is coming to terms with the 'new media' way of doing business. I'm all about brick 'n mortar to tech-savvy business owner and Sztar has done a great job in bridging that gap for the reader, while at the same time making the 'move', 'change', or whatever you want to call... it an easy to grasp possibility.

Although I'm not personally in the pharmacy industry, as an ex-brick 'n mortar business owner, turned tech-savvy entrepreneur, I know what works and what doesn't. This book covers you, and more.
