About the Author
Glen R. Stansfield is a qualified aircraft engineer, a profession he has pursued for over forty years. A lifelong interest in crime, in particular forensic psychology, led him to write his debut novel, Fishing for Stones. When not writing, he can usually be found on two wheels, often using his motorcycle to raise money for charity. His work has taken him to Bahrain, where he lives with his wife, Jess.

...an intriguing blend of greed, opportunity, with a couple of main characters dancing precariously on the edges of the law, melds into this well-spun debut novel... throw in a stash of diamonds of questionable moral source, absorbing helicopter scenes, the hint of high-level criminal double-crossing, and the picturesque setting of the Scottish Highlands... mix well, and bring slowly to the boil... a droll, dry-humoured Scots detective tracks down the execution of a well-planned crime...or is it?... great read, Mister Stansfield...

Great book by a new author, should be headed to the NYT best sellers.

One of the better books that I have read in a long time, the ending has more twists than a Tigers Tail, The author shows a great knowledge of Scotland and other areas. It is a pleasure to read a book that is not filled with sex and violence I would recommend this book to any reader and look forward to any more books by this author.

An outstanding debut effort

Fishing for Stones....well, the stones being diamonds. That's all that I'm going to give away about it. The author did his homework. He knows aircraft, flying, and most of all how to weave a darn good plot that includes everything that a good crime yarn should have leaving the reader wondering when it will all tie in together. Not to worry, it does and with flourish. The characters are well developed. You're sweating in the pilot's seat of the chopper looking for a place to land. And you're hunkered down in the bush in Africa.
It kept it up to the end. I'll be looking out for Glen's second effort. Enjoy.
