Andy and Amy eventually can’t take it anymore when their neighbours begin fighting because they don’t understand what is happening to them. They then decide to pack a few bags and travel to Amy’s sister Ellie who lives in the Northern Hebrides.
Andy has time to think when on the train, and eventually realizes the meaning of strange dreams he has been having, and discovers he has oracle powers. He actually had predicted the standing still of time, when he was a boy, and now it is all coming to light.
